What inspired you to become a hairdresser, and how did your journey start?
My inspiration comes from meeting new people and making them feel good about themselves. I started my journey by starting a salon assistant course in high school, and later began my apprenticeship at 16.
How long have you been in the hair industry, and what do you love most about it?
I’ve been in the hair industry for 7 years and have been qualified for 3. What I love most about the industry is being able to brighten people’s days and boost their confidence.
What’s your favourite service to offer (cut, colour, styling, etc.), and why?
My favourite services to offer are fun, edgy colours as well as styling for events and special occasions.
What’s your favourite hair trend or technique right now?
I’m really liking the fun, funky colour cutting trends at the moment – which consists of wolf cuts, raccoon tail colours, anything colourful ect.
What do you want clients to feel when they sit in your chair?
I want my clients to feel like they’re in a comfortable, open, and welcoming space where they can truly relax and be themselves.
What’s something unique or fun about you that clients might not know?
A fun fact about me is I have a ragdoll cat named Luna.
Do you have a go-to product or haircare tip you always recommend?
My number one hair tip is to avoid sleeping with wet hair and to use a silk pillowcase to reduce friction and prevent breakage.
What’s been a career highlight or proud moment for you so far?
A career highlight I’ve had so far would be being qualified for 3 years as well as continuing to grow and develop my skills within the industry.
